Approving and getting this merged, as it reduces the diff to switch to ruff format after this to only 27 files, being mostly assert with the condition kept on one line and the explanation string on another instead of awkwardly split, and some similar cases in if conditions.

Black had only 5 files changed, ruff format was the rest, except for 27 files changed back by black. |
